Some of my favorite DIY projects have been the ones I’ve repurposed. When I spotted this ammo box at a local antique mall I knew I had to have it. Thankfully, the dealer not only had one, but three! I decided it would be best to make an Ammunition Box Table.
I find most of my pieces at antique malls, estate sales and garage sales as well as thrift stores and buy/sell pages. It’s become so much easier to find them with the invention of Facebook pages but you better be ready to jump. The affordable pieces tend to go fast! I miss out on so many!
Ammunition Box Table
I purchased 3 of them and had different plans for them but, after making a table with one, I knew I wanted more. This was a really simple project that I actually completed before having a blog and unfortunately did not take pictures of the process!
All I did was make a quick run to Home Depot and purchase some metal posts and the round attachments. I screwed the base on the underside of the box and then attached the legs! These aren’t terribly expensive and you can use all different lengths so that’s a plus for sure.

Supplies Needed For The Ammunition Box Table
I love that these little tables serve more than one purpose. The top lids obviously open, providing more storage space.
I love the simplicity and texture it brings to the space. If you’ve read many of my blog posts, you also might recall that I adore pieces that are more utilitarian in nature. This can have decor on top and store items inside. Finding new uses for pieces is a fun hobby and this one might be up there with my favorites.
Have you ever repurposed anything? If so, which project has been your favorite? I love drawing inspiration from you.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. It always means so much to me to have you here.
I always love when you share your projects with me on social media.
