Halloween is my favorite time of year so, of course, I wanted to share with you how to make some easy DIY Halloween decoration crafts for cheap. I always change things around through the season, but these are my main décor items for my bedroom. My husband just loves that the entire house gets decorated. I hope you’re sensing the sarcasm because he hates it. He knew what he married.
For the Halloween display, I added a few elements. Some thrifted, some made and some purchased. That’s typically how the rest of my home décor is displayed. I like to create when I can, save when I can and change things around when I can.
DIY Halloween Decoration Crafts
The scale was a find on Décor Steals and I use it in a lot of my holiday displays. It’s so versatile! The mercury glass skulls, crow, flowers in the vase and skull mirror came from The Dollar Tree. You can always count on dollar tree to have some great items at a great price that you can use in so many ways.
Second Hand Finds for Halloween Decoration
The candelabras are from Big Lots and only $10 each. Big Lots is another store I can usually find some super scores and, if you can buy off season and squirrel it away, you can often save big time. Though I know its hard to think a year ahead. I am living for the day, man! The metal candle stick on the end was thrifted. So much of my decor was found second hand. I love pieces that tell a story, but you probably gathered that if you’ve been hanging around here for a while.
The bats came from purchased from Joanns Fabrics but you can easily make your own for some scary diy Halloween decorations. I love that I can walk into a fabric store and buy most of my craft supplies in one place. And even more exciting when they have their seasonal decor out. Just not exciting for my bank account. Or marriage. Or storage room. Moving on….
The “Sleepy Hollow” and Trick or Treat signs are made by my dear friend Kristy. You can find her on Instagram under “The Painted Nest”. I adore her signs! And her! She can usually custom make you anything you like. She is so creative and inventive and you can’t go wrong ordering from her.
My Inspiration for This Halloween Display
This idea came from my friend Bev over at Flamingo Toes and you can see hers here! Ps.. She has amazing tutorials you can follow.
