When the cold weather finally rolls around and the leaves begin to fall, it makes me happy decorate my dining room table for Fall. I like to mix some vintage and natural elements. Adding some of those Fall colors can bring so much warmth to any space. It is my favorite time of year after all. The colors, the weather, the food!
Of course if you’re like me and host holidays at your home, it’s so nice to have such a simple yet elegant table setting for your family and guest to sit down to. Enjoying each others company in a table decorated for fall makes my heart flutter.
I come from a large family and most of my life I spent around the tables of my grandparents for holidays. Continuing that tradition in their honor makes me happy and I now host Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve dinner at our home. Family gets to gather around and visit and eat. Finding that time to be with each other in our otherwise busy lives is a blessing.
Decorating on a budget is a passion of mine so putting together beautiful table settings without breaking the bank is always fun. I think of it like a treasure hunt. Going into thrift shops, antique malls, garage and estate sales. I always wait until I find the perfect piece at the right price. Sure, I come across pieces I would LOVE to have, but if the price is too high, just walk away.
Decorate Your Dining Room Table for Fall
The placemats I only paid two dollars for all four. SCORE! The wood box was given to me I stole from my mother. SHHHHH. I love to purchase my old silver ware and serving pieces second hand. Ironstone has such a vintage vibe and is the perfect color for this setting and the wine goblets were a wedding gift and all faux foliage I had on hand.
All of these items look so festive when paired with food, drink and laughter. Decorating and hosting doesn’t have to be stressful or difficult. Use items you already have on hand and “shop your home”. What I mean by that is, you probably already own some great pieces that will work great for setting a beautiful table setting. No matter the holiday or occasion.
One of the staples for family entertaining is a good wine. Again, I’m a budget gal so I like a great wine that won’t break the bank. I found just that in Wente Vinyards Wine. They are talented musicians who also make amazing wine. My kind of people.
Wente Vineyard Morning Fog Chardonnay to Pair With Your Fall Table Setting
My favorite so far is the “Morning Fog” Chardonnay. The name is inspired by the morning fog that rolls into the vineyard every morning. It’s description boasts crisp flavors of green apple, tropical fruit, vanilla and a touch of toasty oak.
Have you tried this yummy wine? If so, I’d love to hear which is your favorite!
Those fabric pumpkins were another fun project you can complete for simple decor for fall. You can see how I make these cute pumpkins here.
